The International Criminal Court deals with the most serious criminal cases that national courts are either unable or unwilling to deal with. This month is it’s tenth anniversary and this video looks at it’s successes it’s failures and the challenges it still faces in bringing to justice those accused of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity.

  1. If the International Criminal Court is working well, why does it not put 'white' war criminals such as Tony Blair in the dock? His crimes against Iraq and Afghanistan are phenomenal.

  2. To finalize, let the historical record reflect that you have NOW been officially informed and will be henceforth monitored to determine whether your ICC organization is worthy to perform your continued duties or whether you should be subsequently disavowed as an internationally recognized body.

  3. The primary quarters from whence these parties have made statements that are geared towards the arming of terrorists and overthrow of a democratically elected government are to wit: Qatar, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

  4. Be forewarned that this constitutes a breach of international law which you are bound to uphold in your delegated capacity and a lack to act in accordance with your apparent description as a judicial international law enforcement entity will undermine and bring into question the legitimacy of your organization.

  5. To whom it may concern, as a concerned citizen of the world and watcher thereof of world events, let it be duly noted that forthwith a continuous message emanates from certain spokesmen from governments throughout the middle east region whereby they have spoken openly of arming specific individuals and as well groups so marked and identified as terrorists by the Syrian government.

  6. It should be abolished.

It is just a tool to enshrine in law neocolonialism (in other words the dictates by the West – to the powerless Third World) for the modern age. It is used to demonise the enemies of the most powerful Western countries, they themselves can commit war crimes with impunity (eg bombing of Libya or Iraqi invasion) and so can their allies.

    Abolish the International Imperialist Court.

  7. We should have known it would work for imperialism – the West allowed it! If it would bring justice or equal the scales somehow it would never have been allowed.

  8. In more then ten years of operation and only one conviction has occurred? A court's success-fulness is not determined by the amount of convictions it has, but that does seem like a low number.

  9. you have a severe misperception of what AI Does. Ai's goal is to enforce the universal declaration of human rights for every single person in the world. before you criticize do a little bit of homework. it might help your arguement

  10. have you worked with AI? I have
THere are many internal disagreements between members. Go to their annual and regional conferences and you see what i mean.
Yes, AI is a political organization, regardless of how they want to claim it, but it is run so much better then most political organizations but there are difficulties i know. ANd btw, I am currently doing my masters in international human rights so I will got to the ICC myself and find out the truth
