International Protection for Guantanamo Detainees

This film urges more European countries to accept detainees held at the US detention centre at Guantánamo, who cannot be returned to their countries of origin for fear of torture or other human rights violations.

Countries like Germany, Finland, Sweden and Luxembourg are being asked to do more to aid the transfer of roughly 50 such men who remain trapped after years of unlawful detention.

The film features Lakhdar Boumediene, an ex-Guantanamo detainee given protection in France.

  1. We should all help these people to return to a normal and safe life. So many of them have done nothing wrong and have been held when they should not have been. My heart goes out to them and their families.
