Reading poems from Guantánamo


Andrew Motion, poet laureate, discusses the work of Abdur Rahim Muslim Dost. Muslim Dost, an Afghan national, was released from Guantánamo in 2005, and returned to Pakistan.

In October 2006, shortly after he and his brother published a memoir of their Guantánamo detention, he was again arrested by Pakistani intelligence and for several months he was disappeared. He has now been located in a Pakistani jail.

For those who thinks that the prisoners of Guantanamo Bay are terrorists i would like to say that i am son of Muslimdost who was one of the prisoners of Guantanamo and were told after three and half years that you are innocent , so who can bring those precious years of my father , My father is a writer ; He wrote many books in prison which were not given to him after releasing , where are the human rights ?, and don't even try to write or comment something you are not aware of .
